When is a company unethical?

Dear reader

Good business ethics should be a part of every business as not only the products of a company but also its behavior account for long term success.

The ethics of a particular business can be diverse. They apply not only to how the business interacts with the world at large, but also to their one-on-one dealings with a single customer.

That means that there are many factors to consider.

When a company does business with another that is considered unethical, does this make the first company unethical by association?

Some people would say yes, the first business has a responsibility. Again, other people claim that business ethics should eliminate exploitation, which can be applied to everything from the trees cut down to importing goods from certain countries.

You’ll see, business ethics are stratified but they have something in common: they should lead to sustainability.

Business Ethics Zurich

Business ethics are something complex. I am glad we have so many qualified speakers at the 6. Zurich Business Forum and I am truly looking forward to hearing them on 15 / 16 March 2013.

I hope you will join us!
